JOB PURPOSE:
Carrying out accounting functions of COPA to ensure that financialmatters are handled responsibly and timely
LOCATION: COPA Secretariat, Nairobi
REPORTS TO: Programme Coordinator
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintain accurate and complete accounting and financial transaction recordsusing Quick Books accounting programme.
2. Management of cash flows and compilation of expenditure returns.
3. Preparation and presentation of timely monthly and annual financial
statements of accounts.
4. Carrying out banking matters and bank reconciliations.
5. Preparation and verification of payment and receipt vouchers.
6. Computing the payroll
7. Maintaining files and records for all finance related matters.
8. Provide ongoing financial and administrative support to Programme
Coordinator when called upon.
9. Submitting the statutory returns, PAYE, NSSF and NHIF.
Desirable Qualifications:
1. A university degree in accounting2. Professional training in CPA
3. Experience with Quickbooks
4. Experience working and doing financial reporting in an NGO setting
5. A team player
