Operations Supervisor
Service delivery requirements include:
* Effective management of the call centre and reception area
* Efficient management of all activities in a very busy banking hall
* Resolution of customer queries
* Improvement and enforcement of processes and procedures
* Staff coaching
* Monitoring overall QA results to identify trends, training and process improvement opportunities
* On-going training and development of staff and on-going liaison with other departments and group companies for effective service delivery
* This position requires a self-starter who possesses a desire to make things happen and about 5 years of working experience in some supervisory level
* Experience in technology oriented service _rms, mobile telephony, BPO call centres etc will be an added advantage
* The applicant must have excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to motivate to produce results
* A University business degree is a pre-requisite

Call Centre - Customer Service Representatives
This position requires someone with telesales and call centre experience, a self starter, a team player and passion for customer service.

Experience at technology oriented service firms; Mobile telephony, BPO call centres, will be an added advantage. The applicants must have excellent oral and written communication skills. A Business Diploma is a pre-requisite.

The position entails
* Providing customers with product and service information
* Answering phone calls and responding to customer requests and orders
* Completing customer call logs and related reports
* Identifying, research, and resolving customer issues using the computer systems & present reports
* Ability to work in any of the operations sections; including call centre, reception, front counter/cashier hall, client liaison and enable desk will be an added advantage

APHRC Communications Manager Job In Kenya

The African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC) is an international non-profit, non-governmental organization that carries out policy relevant research on population, health, education and development issues facing sub-Saharan Africa.

The Center seeks to recruit a Communications Manager.


Duties

* Oversee and manage all APHRC’s Corporate Communication functions
* Lead the development, production and circulation of institutional publications
* Manage the production and circulation of Working Papers and Research Reports including ensuring editorial quality control
* Plan and implement communication activities at international, regional and national levels
* Work with, and through, national, regional and international networks to promote the utilization of research evidence in policy formulation and action
* Facilitate the dissemination of APHRC’s work through media networks and associations
* Identify and lead the implementation of activities that promote awareness of APHRC’s work among various publics
* Provide advice on website content and design
* Identify and make available e-resources relevant to APHRC’s research work
* Identify and pursue fundraising opportunities for Communication activities and participate in development of proposals
* Supervise Communication Assistants and Officers


Skills and Qualifications

* MA or MSc in mass communications, information sciences (publishing major), and related fields
* At least five years hands-on experience in undertaking similar work, preferably at an international or research organization
* Excellent writing skills and ability to translate complex scientific facts into simple messages for general audiences.
* Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office products and Desk-Top Publishing software

About this position
Bridge International Academies is offering a 1 year contract for a highly skilled video editor for our fast paced product studio.

Successful candidates will be strong communicators, very detail-oriented, and have a passion for the video process. The editor's primary role will be to film video samples in schools and on-site, and edit videos, making them ready for use in our training sessions.

Experience and Attributes:
In-depth knowledge of video recording and editing process
Experienced or comfortable using high end consumer video for capturing simple video clips
Excellent and proven range of digital video post production skills (including adding call outs/arrows to videos, capturing the computer screen and Powerpoints on video, and editing audio)
Experience with Camtasia Studio or a similar video editing suite is highly preferred
Proactive problem solving, both technically and creatively
Calm under pressure, can excel in fast-paced project timeframes
An obsession for creating excellent videos on schedule
Self-driven and able to easily communicate creative ideas and collaborate in a team environment
Experience working with children or in a school is preferred
Productivity-focused and proven to be a quick problem solver
Excellent written and oral communication skills

About You
Ability to work in a high pressure environment
An online portfolio that demonstrates a range of video post production skills
A Bachelors degree is required
2-4 years of experience as a digital video editor Understanding of all video production equipment, technologies and capabilities in the corporate environment
Working knowledge of still and moving imaging software for both Mac and PC platforms
Proficient on both the Macintosh (OSX) and PC computing platforms

The Organisation

The Society of Jesus is a religious order in the Catholic Church whose members are known as Jesuits. We serve in 127 nations, on six continents and are organised in administrative regions called Provinces.
The Province of Eastern Africa consists of Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Sudan and Uganda. The 216 men of the Eastern Africa Province work in a wide variety of ministries, among which: schools and universities, retreat centres, social service and research agencies, refugee relief centres and media organizations.

Job Summary

The Jesuit Province of Eastern Africa seeks a Communications Officer working in the Development Office beginning January 2012.

The Development Office fundraises for Jesuits in Eastern Africa.

The Communications Officer will:
  1. Establish a communications office
  2. Define a communications strategy for the development office
  3. Implement the communications strategy
  4. Coach individuals who would take up communications responsibilities in the development office.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in publication design and writing/editing for a magazine, newspaper or newsletter
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills in the English language (with a keen appreciation for different audiences)
  • Experience in web-design, maintenance of web-sites, use of e-communication tools
  • Familiarity with fundraising/advancement work
  • A degree in journalism or communications, knowledge of database management and familiarity with the Jesuits and the Catholic Church would be an added advantage
