Our mandate is to share the Good News of Jesus Christ by Translating, Producing, Distributing and encouraging the use of Holy Scriptures.
To effectively serve our mandate and to ensure the consistent delivery of quality programs, we are looking for mature, dynamic and self-motivated individual to fill the following position:
Warehouse Manager
Duties and Responsibilities include:
Manage the receipts, storage and
dispatch of scriptures
Receive approved requisitions and
prepare and dispatch LPOs as needed for provisions and follow up to ensure
timely delivery
Monitor unfilled orders and if
necessary consult requisitioning managers for alternative specifications or to
guide on alternative suppliers
Verify invoices against orders
before forwarding to the Head of Finance & Administration for authorization
and for payment by Finance department.
Plan all warehouse resources and
activities in keeping with the Society’s objectives and targets
Ensure that all the health and
safety requirements are met and also has to take responsibility for the
security of the building and stock
Maintain and issue inventory
report, entry and exit status report, dead stock report and goods age report.
Develop and implement cost
reduction measures in all aspects of warehouse transactions and activities
Develop and suggest measures of
improvement and development of the warehouse
Ensure all materials brought into
the Society for use in all departments are properly documented.
Undertake monthly, midyear and
annual stocktaking exercise to determine the physical existence of stock items
and release such results to finance for external audits and final accounts and
perform monthly stock reconciliation exercise
Prepare inventory forecasts,
raise stationery and Local Scriptures LPOs
Prepare progress and annual
reports showing achievement of the warehouse function and providing
justification for performance variances
Process Zone requests for
Scriptures promptly and maintain proper real time stocks records.
Monitor stock levels and ensure
optimum stock levels are maintained at all times
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelors’ degree in Business
Administration or related field
CPA Part 2
Professional procurement
qualification, such as C.I.P.S
Five (5) years procurement and
administration experience in a similar position required.
Committed Christian in good
standing with their Church.
Key Skills & Competencies
Knowledge of and experience in
vendor management, market analysis, competitive analysis etc.
Considerable knowledge of BSK’s
and Public Procurement Regulations and Procedures.
Proficiency in Computer
applications and computerized procurement and stores software packages.
Ability to analyse and process
purchasing requisitions and vouchers and make purchasing decisions and
maintains complex inventory records.
Demonstrate technical expertise
in risk management, quality assurance as well as monitoring and evaluation.
