Extrusion Technician Kenya Job Opportunity

Technician Job Vacancies Kenya. 
A well established Manufacturer of HDPE pipes and recycling of plastic waste in Uganda is looking to recruit an Extrusion Engineer for their HDPE extrusion Line and Recycling Plant.

The Extrusion Engineer is responsible for ensuring the all the equipment and machinery remain in good working order at all times, including the commission and testing of new equipment.

To be considered for this position applicants will have a diploma or a degree in Mechanical Engineering or
similar with a minimum of 4 years experience in the pipe or similar industry. Experience of bag, film and roto-moulding industry will be an added advantage.

He/she will have good communication skills, strong organizational, trouble-shooting, and problem solving skills. He/she will be proactive regarding equipment problem resolutions and able to prioritize, properly plan, and handle multitask work.

The position requires excellent organization & communication skills with the ability to work methodically & clear-mindedly to tight deadlines as a constructive member of an energized & dynamic team. Proficiency in English is a must. Computer proficiency is an advantage. Problem solving & analytical skills are highly desirable and will be tested accordingly during the interview process. Candidates must have a disciplined character and eye for detail to meet the very exacting standards of our customers.

The candidate should have the following:
Minimum 3 years of experience in maintenance and settings of extrusion lines and Recycling Plant
Must have a good track record (Please provide work history and references)
Experience in operation and maintenance of extrusion lines, extrusion dies as well as experience in recycling plant will be an added advantage.

Added Attributes
Ensure high standards of process control, production quality, capacity utilization and process improvement.
Production, Planning and control. Motivating subordinate team to achieve daily target.
Allocation of manpower with respect to production.
Training Shop floor supervisors, Line inspectors and newly joining employees.
Analysis of process problems and troubleshooting extrusion and related process, electrical components and mechanical problems
Maintaining Production system documents
To prepare daily production report and carry out production planning
Lend assistance to fellow engineers within the group companies

Tools Experience
Maintenance and modification of tooling & dies as per required production and maintenance.

Educational qualification:
holder of at least a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification and relative work experience
a minimum of 4 years experience working in an extrusion plant as an operator or technician. Knowledge in processing of HDPE. Knowledge of other plastics and processes and added advantage
Age limit: 30- 40 years
Preferably single person for initial 1 year period
