The Mater Hospital, a leading Health Care provider is seeking to fill the following positions:

1. Assistant Projects & Maintenance Manager

Reporting to the Manager, Projects & Maintenance and the successful candidate’s role will include but not be limited to:

Key Result Areas:
Assist in managing all hospital projects and maintenance work in an efficient and cost effective manner ensuring conformity to Quality Standards and observing Environmental, Health and Safety Regulations.


Plan, schedule, communicate and assign tasks to the team and monitor to completion, ensuring conformance to specifications, standards and schedule of the requisitioning department.
Develop work designs that are easy for staff to understand and execute
Maintain optimum stock levels, ensuring all transactions are well document and records maintained
Create a work environment that fosters a high level of responsibility, integrity and team spirit.
Conduct performance management assessments for staff and recommend remedial measures for gaps and growth for the team
Minimum Requirements for the position:
BSc. Degree in Engineering. Registered Graduate Engineer and Member of Engineering Professional Body
Certificate or Diploma in Project Management will be an added advantage
5 years working experience in a relevant field 2 of which should be hands on managing and supervising a diverse Projects & Maintenance workforce
Must be computer literate - Ms Word and Excel, knowledge of AutoCAD Software will be an added advantage
Competencies
Ability to analyze, comprehend and interpret building documents and equipment manuals
Good knowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety Regulations
Ability to plan, execute and monitor projects making changes where necessary to ensure successful completion within budget and schedule
Good analytical, decision making and report writing skills
Ability to lead and maintain a highly motivated team even under pressure
Ability to plan and execute Planned Preventive Maintenance [PPM] and routine maintenance work
Good coaching, counseling and mentoring skills
2. Buyer - Surgical

Reporting to the Procurement & Supply Chain Manager, the successful candidate’s role will include but not be limited to:

Key Result Areas:
Receiving non stock requisitions for surgical items from user departments and source for quotations
Negotiate order prices with suppliers and recommend competitive supplier to P&SC Manager before purchase
Source, evaluate and select suppliers as per set guidelines for addition on the approved suppliers list
Evaluate suppliers performance and assist in surveillance audits
Evaluate requisitions for authorization while ensuring compliance with quality standards
Ensure proper documentation and records management of all transaction for easy access and retrieval
Monitor and maintain optimum stock levels at the Surgical Store
Routinely audit purchasing operations to ensure maximum efficiency and compliance with quality standards
Make follow ups on ordered items to ensure proper and timely delivery
Participate in stock take in the Surgical Store and oversee stock variance reports
Minimum Requirements for the position:
Degree in Procurement or any business related field
Must have at least 3 years working experience in a busy establishment. Experience in Hospital procurement or Nursing background will be an added advantage
Must be computer literate [MS word, Spread Sheets and Power Point]
Competencies:
Must demonstrate high level of Honest & Integrity
Good administrative and communication skills written and oral
Can meet deadlines with minimum supervision
Keen on detail and high degree of accuracy
Good in decision making and time management
Good team player and PR skills
